Audi 100GL 1973
Hallo,
The grill was rusted, so i took it out, sandblasted it and did a nice respray on it with a satin black finish.
The logo was all became duff so took it all apart and give it a polish.
The interior is pretty fine after all those years, but the dash lights didn't seem to worked.
So took the dash off, and found it was the regulator of voltage that had corroded over the years, brushed it up a bit and all working fine now.
The engine bay was a real pain in the ass, but i managed to clean it up a little.
Still need to continue this, but there are other things on the car that need my attention.
A little crack in the right light made me buy a new one, and at the point this photo was taken, i was planning a full rebuild of the cooling circuit.
Then we tackled the cooling circuit, replacing every rubber hose, every clamp, every seal, and the waterpump.
Also one of the chrome trims of the ventilation cracked, so i'm happy i found this little guys, and replaced them all at once.
Then i found out the clock didn't work anymore, took the whole thing apart, and apart, and apart...
To find out, the coil from the motor broke. So we recoiled it and now i've got a nice working clock
My bumpers were all rusted out, so find a couple others one.
They were pretty nasty, but only needed a good buffing out to be shiny once again.
Still need to do some work on the rear one tho...
Oh yeah, i don't want you guys to miss out my tat
And just some photos

As promised, here are some more photos.
First, a few better en total photos of the 100
I also managed to find a nice t-shirt of it
Also my tattoo is actually a lot bigger, the last photo was from June, this one is from now.
And today there came a little package, the first of many one...
Planning on restoring this (new glasses, light bulbs, overall cleaning)
I said the first of many, because there are around 120 chrome strips and stuff on it's way, together with a few other parts such as tachos and stuff.

Just had an arrival of new parts, so next week we can start working again.
Some seals for the thermostat and fuel pump.
Also arrived has a nice new seal for the valve cap, so next week we start working on it, as the valves need to be adjusted.
I also received a photo from all the chrome trim that's on its way

je hebt een mooie auto!
Waar woon je?
Weet u dat de gefotografeerde cockpit deel in een Audi 100 L en niet in een Audi 100 GL gehoord?
beste wensen

I'm gonna answer in englisch or german only on this forum, so everyone can understand it.
I know the gauges come out of an 100L.
I have the correct version in mine, as you can see in some photos earlier, i just gonna restore this black one for fun.
So i'm allready pretty far on the tacho...
First i took it apart a little to clean the little lenses
Black trim plastic still looks a bit off
So i added some foam-cleaner
As you can see it starts reacting with al the dust and dirt, so i can brush it off easily after.
Looks a lot cleaner now i think ?
Now revising some internals as lamps and stuff.
Also put the mileage at "00000", as nobody wants a tacho with allready 90.000km on it when the car it comes on maybe has less.
