I got complete front suspension along with vented disks:

Also, i bought rear drums and shock absorbers.

From the same car I took original Ronal wheels, as well as one steel (spare), so now I also have a set of Typ-43 correct steel felgen. Before this purchase I had three original steel wheels, and two thinner, with less material used, like from newer Audi 80.

If you ever wondered how 175/65 tires look on a Typ 43, here it is

Hello,
very nice photo! It´s everytime a pleasure to see photos of the old Audi Typ 43 in situations of the real life.
But from where did you get the german number plate? From a scraped car?
So long and kepp the good times roll.
Best regards

These rims would fit a newer car better, imo ;)

Of course, but since BBS RS cost more than my car...

I got them in order to re-sell, and tried them on as a joke, but the result is not that bad at all. So I might just keep them for a while, since my Audi already looks like a rat-rod, at least I could put some ridiculous rims to play the role completely.
But they are not suitable for driving, since I can only imagine what 215/45 does to undercarriage on these roads. So, they'll only be for meets, and for every day I have returned Kanaldeckel wheels with 195/65/15 tires.

Friend just told me that these are Borbet Model T, which means 1994 or newer. Dimension is 17" 8J.

Although it may not seem like it due to my lack of posts in this topic, I've been busy as always:

Bild

An extra pair of headlights is a must in terms of spare parts. Also a nice show of difference between dirty and freshly cleaned glass and lens.

Bild

Something I'm very excited about - absolutely the best pair of taillights I have ever seen! Post-facelift taillights are very scarce as is, and practically imposible to find in this condition. I'm not even going to install them untill I (hopefully) get to restore my car.

And finally, in preparation for the winter, I mounted a biggest pair of Hella foglights I could find. :)

They might be an overkill in terms of size, but man do they shine :D

Delivered late last night:

Mirrors are good, 3/4 turgriffe are working, and windows are intact. All in all, a good buy :)

I decided to go 15" due to wide choice of tires in 195/65 R15 dimension.
The original steel wheels will be sandblasted and prepared for the next winter
Hello from Argentina, Uros! I hope you can do the painting pretty soon, the car looks alive, I'm fighting with a 5s Automatic 1980, and I know things are hard concerning this kind of cars.

About wheels....are you going for the originals ones? I read that you did a sanblasted. Do your wheels have a metallic-cover center?

Regards, and keep walking (not like Johnny Black, jeje ;-))
